Yuridia Martinez, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away February 4, 2020 at the age of 16. She was born November 29, 2003 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Sergio & Erika (Zamora) Martinez. Yuridia loved to bake cakes and cookies. Her favorite foods were spaghetti, rice and soup. She played softball, volleyball and track was the latest sport she was involved in. Yuridia was a very competitive girl. She was very involved and loved to serve in her youth group at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She always had a smile on her face and was very playful and was very friendly. Yuridia loved watching movies. She loved doing her nails and her hair, and always wore it straight. Yuridia wanted to be a hairstylist. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Yuridia is survived by her parents, Sergio & Erika Martinez; 2 sisters, Yareli Martinez and her twin sister, Yuritza Martinez; maternal grandparents, Roberto & Maria Zamora; paternal grandparents, Fernando & Maria del Cermerl Martinez; 3 uncles, Roberto Zamora & wife, Grisela, Armando Martinez & wife, Nancy, and Fernando Martinez; 10 cousins, Roberto Zamora Jr., Maritza Zamora, Itzel Zamora, Luis Armando Martinez, Jocelyn Martinez, Luis Angel Martinez, Gael Martinez, Fernando Martinez, Jr., Oscar Martinez, and Jesus Martinez. A Rosary will be held at 7:30 PM, Friday, February 7, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 2706 S. Shartel Ave., in Oklahoma City. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Moore Cemetery, Moore, OK. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, OK.
