Houston, TX - Thomas Raymond "Ray" Winton, 73, of Houston, TX, died on September 25, 2025 in Houston.
He was born on August 25, 1952 to Floyd Terrell Winton and Lottie Belle "Patsy" Crain Winton in Odessa, TX. Pat and Terrell settled in Norman in 1953 where Ray attended Norman schools graduating in 1970.
He married the love of his life, Cheri Klinger on November 18, 1996. The made their home in Houston for the past 30 years. Ray and Cheri loved to travel with Ireland and France being a few of their favorites.
He was a professional oil and gas man retiring in 2021. Ray was an avid gardener, OU fan, and loved Teddy, his Pomeranian.
Ray is survived by his wife, Cheri, sisters Barbara Winton Bush and Linda Winton, one brother and sister-in-law Glen and Barbara Winton, two children and one grandchild and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Bart Bush.
