Norman, OK - Sheila Kay Bittle died at home with her family on 3/11/26. She was born to Doris Gayle Michener (Fears) and Colonel Otis Thompson on September 27, 1952, in Amarillo, Texas, but soon moved to Oklahoma where she attended school in Del City and college in Norman. Sheila was a retired special education teacher. She is survived by her husband, Ian Bittle of the home, daughter Amanda Bittle and her husband John Rushton of Norman, son Christopher Bittle of Hennessey, sister Janet Johnson and husband Rick or Arkansas, sister-. in-in-law Cass Hobbs and her husband Kim of Hennessey, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Many thanks to Mercy Hospice for the excellent care they gave her. A memorial service will be held in the near future and in lieu of flowers the family has requested any memorial donations be made to the Sea Turtle Conservation at oceanicsociety.org
