Norman, OK - Rosa Martinez Elugardo died peacefully in Norman, OK surrounded by her loving family and friends, on February 23, 2026, at the age of 79. Spirited, generous, active and fun-loving, Rosa brought joy and love to those around her until her very last day, when Dementia and Parkinson's claimed her final breath. Born on September 25, 1946 in Blissfield, Michigan, Rosa is survived by husband Reinaldo; sons Marcos (Nika) and Antonio (Dulce); granddaughter Consuela (Philip); sisters, Alicia and Josefina (Jose); and many loving nieces and nephews.
Rosa was preceded in death by parents Pascual and Maria Martinez and by brother Hicidro Martinez, and by sister Juanita Martinez.
Passionate in her dedication to family and friends, Rosa remained deeply involved in family and community life until the end.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, from 4pm until 8pm at Primrose Funeral Home (3109 North Flood Ave., Norman, OK 73069). The funeral service will be held at the chapel there on Saturday, March 7 at 10 AM. The burial service will be held after the funeral service at Sunset Memorial Cemetery (2301 Indian Hills Road, Norman, OK, 73071).
