Purcell, Oklahoma - Rayburn Matthew Phillips went to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the age of 46. Rayburn was born December 2, 1975, in Booneville, Arkansas to Jan Killion and Ron Phillips. Rayburn accepted Jesus Christ at the age of 5 at First Baptist Church in Branch, Arkansas and grew in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Despite changing circumstances in his life over the years, he never lost sight of where and to whom he belonged.

Rayburn was a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend who worked incredibly hard. During his lifetime, Rayburn never knew a stranger. He was known for welcoming anyone and everyone -giving them a place to belong. He especially welcomed people who had no place to belong themselves. He was smart and a "jack of all trades"- he could fix anything. He cared not only about his work, but cared for those people he worked with, as well as his customers. He had a passion for the outdoors as he loved to fish and be out on the lake. He cared for nature and wildlife, put out corn and feeders, and built a pond on his property with the purpose of preserving a habitat for the wildlife. He was a generous man, he was warm, and he constantly worked to be a good father and make his son, Rayburn Dean Phillips and daughter, Breanna Mae Phillips proud.

Rayburn is preceded in death by his father, Ron Phillips. He is survived by his daughter, Breanna and her husband, Robb Baker of Lexington, OK; son Rayburn and his wife Alexis of Moore, OK; mother and stepfather, Jan and Bryan Killion of Roanoke, TX; sister, Becca and her husband Matthew Clarke of Justin, TX; brother Evan Phillips of AR; nephews, Josh Phillips, Marshall Clarke and William Phillips; nieces, Katelyn, Maggie, and Janet Phillips; and many, many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Victory Family Church located in Norman or Chickasha, OK
