Norman, OK. - Ralph Eric Burton was born April 24, 1957, in Mendota, Illinois to Hugh E. Burton and Bertha M. (Hillyer) Burton. He passed away on June 23, 2025. As a young child he was raised in Illinois. In the spring of 1968, the family relocated to Alva, Oklahoma.

Always the adventures and thrill seeker, may it be riding a motorcycle, boating, skydiving or traveling, he was always ready to try anything. His first big adventure was enlisting into the United States Navy. Upon completion of bootcamp, he was stationed on the USS Robison in San Diego, California. He traveled the world seeing and experiencing many new things. While in the service, he was united in marriage to Deana Davison in Alva, Oklahoma. Two children were born to this union, Erica and Elliot.

On November 26, 2003, he and Loree Savage were united in marriage. With this union he gained three bonus children: Lindsey, James and Christopher.

Ralph was preceded in death by his son, Elliot Cole Burton, parents Hugh Burton and Bertha Terrill, stepfather, Jake Terrill, brothers: David Hillyer and Robert Burton; and sisters: Rebecca Stith, Regina, Roberta and Robin Burton.

He leaves his loving wife Loree, daughters: Erica (Bobby) Kraft of Alva, and Lindsey Mitchell of Norman. Sons: James Johnson and Christoper Albert of Norman. Grandchildren: Gretchen and Reichen Kraft of Alva, Jayden Mitchell and Leanna Hickok of Norman. One great grand-daughter Melody Hickok.

Sisters: Ruth (Alfred) Spurgeon of Alva, Rene Boling of Enid, Rita Castleberry of Oklahoma City, half-sister Judy (Tom) Verdun of Pontiac, Illinois, and brother Richard (Koleta) Burton of Alva. Numerous nephews, nieces and extended family.

Ralph and Loree are blessed with a group of close friends who all became family.
