Norman, OK - Quentin Remy was born in Norman, Oklahoma, on September 10, 1946, to Dorella Constant Remy and Bill Remy. He attended First Christian Church there until his family moved to Midland, Texas, when he was six. He remained in Midland until his junior year of high school, when his family returned to Norman, and he attended Norman High School. During his two years there, Quentin played football, ran track, and won the State Championship in the hurdles.

After graduation from high school, he attended Oklahoma State University. While not in classes, he ran track and won the Big Eight Indoor Hurdles Championship as a freshman. At the end of that year, Quentin transferred to the University of Oklahoma, from which he graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He then served our country in the National Guard.

Quentin loved being an architect, a love highlighted by his firm earning several state and national design awards. He also loved Jane Meyer, whose name became Jane Remy when they wed in 1969. Eventually, Quentin and Jane had five children.

Beyond his career and family, Quentin had many interests. Two of those were playing soccer and coaching boys' and girls' youth soccer for many years. As a player, his men's Rogue soccer team won the Region III Championship in New Orleans. His '75-'76 girls' competitive team won the first State Championship for girls on the west side of Oklahoma.

As a third passion, his love of trains was inspired by one of his grandfathers, Oakley Ledbetter, when Quentin was five. As an adult, he built a highly detailed train room in his family's house. In it a track and trains ran past stations representing Norman, Purcell, Fort Worth, and Midland as they looked in 1952. In addition, Quentin was a member of the American Institute of Architects, Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, the NYSA Soccer Board, and the Rotary Club.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; children, Katherine Vettori, Amanda Freeland, Anne Lundquist, David Remy, and Elizabeth Perkins; grandchildren, Remy and Lucy Vettori; Luke, Madeline, and Jack Freeland; Jackson, Will, John Paul, Ben, and Quentin Lundquist; Charlotte, Alice, and Thomas Remy; and Patrick, Jake, and Maggie Perkins. He is also survived by his brother, Bruce Remy; sisters-in-law, Gail Remy, Mike Kimrey, Nancy Elliott, Wendy Nevins, Laurene Meyer, and Jill Weigel; brothers-in-law, Bill Meyer, Joe Nevins, and Jim Weigel, along with many nieces and nephews.

Quentin was preceded in death by his parents, Dorella and Bill Remy; his grandparents, Lois and John Remy, Gladys and Oakley Ledbetter, and Ava and David Constant.

Quentin Remy, a customarily smiling man, died January 27, 2026, at the age of 79. Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on February 20th at Saint John's Episcopal Church in Norman.
