Nick Harris Stone Obituary

Bend, Oregon - Nick Harris Stone, 78, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025.

Born July 1, 1947, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Richard and Joyce Stone, Nick graduated from Waurika High School (1965) and earned a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma (1969), where he met his first wife, Michelle.

He married Michelle (Fass) Stone in 1967. They raised two children, Robyn and Nicole, before Michelle's passing in 1979. He married Anna (Woodson) Stone in 1981; she passed in 2021.

Nick is survived by his children, Robyn Rogers (Shawn) of Warrenton, Oregon; Nicole Hunzicker (Andrew) of Bend, Oregon; four grandchildren; and brother Greg Chapman of Norman. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives Michelle and Anna; and brothers Edward Stone, Richard Chapman, and Brian Stone.

Nick worked for over 40 years as an engineer at Tinker Air Force Base. He loved OU football, NASCAR, and his Hawaii condo. An avid skier, he enjoyed hiking, especially in Hawaii, and was fascinated by molten lava—sometimes getting too close for his family's comfort.

A remembrance gathering will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Rogers residence. Contact the family for details. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Bridges of Norman.
