Moore, OK - Meagan Elizabeth Hayes, 37, of Norman, OK, passed away on November 21, 2025. Meagan was born January 18th, 1988 in Norman to parents, Mark and Moen Hayes. She attended Norman High School, OU and OCCC. Those who knew Meagan will remember her as a kind, generous soul with a quick wit and an effortless charm that could light up any room. She had a rare gift for making people feel at ease, and an even rarer talent for making them laugh—often when they needed it most.

Meagan inherited her passion for arts and crafts from her beloved grandmother, Thelma Burton. Whether she was painting, stitching, gluing, or dreaming up her next creation, she was never happier than when she had a project in front of her. She loved sharing her work with family and friends, not for praise, but because creating things brought her joy—and giving them away brought her even more.

Her compassion extended far beyond people. Meagan had a soft spot for animals of every kind and spent her life rescuing, caring for, and loving them. Her German Shepherd, Rowdy, was her constant companion and a source of deep comfort and love.

Meagan is preceded in death by her grandmother, Thelma Burton, and her father, Mark Hayes. She is survived by her mother, Moen Hayes of Norman, her brother Tom Hayes of Chicago, her brother Braden Hayes (Nancy) of Lafayette, her sister Shelly Dumigan (Matt) of Oklahoma City, her nephews Will Dumigan and Beau Hayes, her nieces Riley Dumigan and Sophie Hayes and finally her partner, Caleb McElhany of Norman, and Rowdy, who she loved beyond words.

A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Meagan's name to a charity of your choice—any place where kindness can ripple outward, just as she did throughout her life.
