Norman, OK - Lloyd Wayne Moore passed away at his home in Norman, Oklahoma on October 27, 2025, surrounded by the people he loved and who loved him deeply.
Lloyd was born on October 8, 1950, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Ernest Eldon Moore and Bernice Elsie Troutt Moore. He began his child hood in Blanchard before the family settled in Norman, where he attended and graduated from Norman Public Schools.
Lloyd spent many dedicated years working for Flowboy Manufacturing and Total Truck & Trailer. He began as a welder and later transitioned into the role of inventory and parts manager, where his hard work and sense of humor were well known.
As an only child, Lloyd received a joyful surprise when he married Toni Lewis and was lovingly welcomed into her large, lively family. He embraced them wholeheartedly, especially enjoying the family gatherings filled with endless good food, laughter, and conversation. Lloyd and Toni made their home in Blanchard until their children graduated from high school, after which they returned to Norman, where he lived the remainder of his life.
Lloyd spent much of his free time cooking and was a proud grill and pit master. He was famous among family and friends for his chili, though the recipe remained a closely guarded secret. Over the years, he enjoyed riding reining horses, but eventually returned to one of his earliest loves, riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Lloyd cherished travel, and he and Toni treasured the many trips they shared together.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Toni, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Jessica Moore of Norman; son, Kyle Cottrell of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter, Taci McWhirter of Norman; grandson, Caden Washburn of Spokane, Washington; granddaughter, Jaci Washburn of Spokane, Washington; sister-in-law, Letha Richey of Moore, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Pansy Hackney and husband Travis of Blanchard, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Joe Bailey Lewis and wife Shelley of Blanchard; sister-in-law, Olga Smith and husband Jim of Oklahoma City; brother-in-law, Dee Lewis and wife Leesa of Blanchard; and Cody's mother, Maryanne Secrist of Norman. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws Port and Dora Lewis; and Bronelle Lewis, Geraldine Lewis, Pruitt and Betty Lewis, June and Frank Coshow, and Ed Richey.
Lloyd will be remembered for his honesty and humor. He loved deeply, stayed true to himself, and found joy in simple things: his wife, his motorcycles, and a good meal shared.
