Norman, OK - Lawrence Allen "Larry" Rieger, 66, died Sept. 29, 2025 in Claremore, OK. He was born on March 4, 1959 in Norman to Henry A. and Marilyn J. Rieger.

After graduation from Norman High School and Moore-Norman Vo-Tech, he joined the U.S. Navy. Upon discharge he began a career as a welder and machinist in Oklahoma, including work at Biz Jet International in Tulsa.

He married Pat Suter in 1986. They made their home in Claremore.

Larry enjoyed fishing, camping and visiting Oklahoma casinos. He helped many neighbors and fellow Veterans with home and yard chores.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry A. Rieger and stepfather Dr. Robert B. Zumwalt.

Survivors include his wife, Pat, of the home; his mother, Marilyn J. Zumwalt, of Norman; stepmother Crystal Rieger of Norman; sisters Jolene deVerges (George) of Dallas; Elizabeth Gossett (Jim) of Ithaca, NY, and Sharon Rieger (Jan) of Phoenix; brothers John "Andy" Rieger (Karen) of Norman and Robert Rieger (Oya) of Ithaca, NY; brother-in-law Gary Suter (Linda) of Shawnee Mission, KS., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who loved their Uncle and cousin Larry.

Memorial donations can be directed to the Moore Norman Technology Center Foundation, 4701 12th Avenue NW, Norman, OK., 73069. A memorial service is planned at a later date.
