Springfield, MO - Karen Lee Kistler Smith passed away in her home on Saturday, November 22. Born to Mildred Christian Kistler in Ritchey, Missouri on August 3, 1942, Karen loved helping her parents run the general store and Post Office there.
Karen was a proud teacher, having taught for 38 years in Springfield Public Schools, Moore, and Norman, Oklahoma Public Schools. Upon retiring in 2008, she and Jim, her husband of 50 years, who also worked in Norman Public Schools, purchased and operated Yesteryears Antique Mall in Ozark, Missouri.
Karen is survived by four children, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, and a host of many friends from her teaching career as well as fellow antique lovers.
Funeral services for Karen were Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, North, Springfield, Missouri. A full obituary may be found at www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com
