Lawton, OK - John David Hayden, 63, of Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2025. He was born on April 14, 1962. He was raised by his late mother Iola Hayden and the late William (Bill) Hayden. A proud citizen of the Comanche Nation, John worked in construction for most of his career and later earned a degree in Business from the University of Oklahoma.

An athlete in his youth, John shared his passion for sports with all his children through his avid involvement in their activities such as golf, football, basketball, and baseball. John's love for University of Oklahoma athletics also became a family tradition, creating many wonderful memories of attending and watching games together. His humor and intelligence will be deeply missed.

John is survived by his children and their mother, Dana Deere; Billy Hayden and his children RaeLynn, Maya, Mia, and Jordan; Amanda Hayden and her child Violet; Ishie Hayden and his child Olivia; Daniel Hayden (Amber) and their child Meadow; and his sisters, Marcia Hayden and Sarah Morris. A memorial will be held at a later date.
