Jane Halley (Jane) Obituary

Norman, OK - Jane Halley of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, in Norman at the age of 88. She was born on September 28, 1937, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Lloyd Colter Pratt and Opal (Woody) Pratt.

On January 25, 1958, she married the love of her life, Stanton Halley. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. Jane earned her bachelor's degree in education from Oklahoma State University and went on to dedicate twenty years to teaching second grade at Wilson Elementary in Norman. She had a special gift for nurturing young hearts and minds, and many of her students carried her lessons with them far beyond the classroom.

Jane was a devoted member of First Christian Church in Norman, where she was actively involved in the women's group. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she loved her family and her God more than anything. In her quiet moments, she found joy in cross stitching, quilting, and tending to her flower gardens. Her hands were rarely still, and the beautiful things she created will remain treasured keepsakes for those who loved her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Stanton Halley of the home; her sons, Timothy Halley of Norman and Stephen Halley and his wife Trigena of Sandy, Utah; and her cherished grandchildren, Ethan Halley and Addison Halley. She is also survived by two nieces and four nephews along with many other friends and family.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, Stanton Murphy Halley II; her brother, Lloyd Pratt Jr. and his wife Barbara; her sister, Joann Baptie; her nephew, John Pratt and her brother-in-law, Douglas Halley and his wife Carol.

Family and friends will be greeted at the funeral home on Thursday, February 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 6, at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City with Pastor Steve Graham officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home.

Jane's legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion to her family and students will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
