Mildred Janet "Jan" Cunningham, age 85, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Jan was born November 18, 1938, in St Louis, Missouri, the only daughter of Leland Harlan Sr. and Mildred Jane Rhodes (Jones). She married Robert Marvin Cunningham, in 1959 and together they had two children, Jona Lou in 1961 and Rob in 1967. Bob and Jan were divorced in 1973. Later Jan found love with Joseph Garlett, and they were married for over 20 years. Jan enjoyed her family, great music, and she loved to dance. She was a long-time real estate agent/ broker in the Norman community and a member of Memorial Presbyterian in Norman.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Garlett; her two children, Robert M Cunningham Jr and wife Kim, and Jona Thiessen and husband Tim; her grandchildren, Emma Schlotterback and wife Summer, Anna Cunningham, Jessica Farris and husband Will, Chelsea Thiessen-Blakely and husband Cameron, and Madison Thiessen and fiancé Somer; her great grandchildren, Liam and Eliza Farris; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Jan is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Ron Harlan, and Leland Harlan, Jr. and her sister-in-law, Eileen Harlan.
