Norman, OK - Jack Sherwood Nielsen, 91, of Norman, Oklahoma passed Friday, December 26, 2025, at his daughter's home in Norman surrounded by love.

Memorial services will be held Friday, January 2, 2026 at 10:00 am at Thunderbird Chapel (11395 E. Highway 9, Norman, OK 73026) with Pastor Rick Anthony officiating. A reception will follow with family and attendees at the Thunderbird Reception Hall. A private inurnment with family will follow at the IOOF Cemetery in Norman, OK at 1:00 pm.

Jack was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Norman, and lifelong Christian. Jack and Donna were avid basketball fans and arranged their wedding rehearsal around a Wichita Shockers basketball game. They later had OU football, men's and women's basketball tickets for over 40 years.

He will be missed by his wife of 60 years, Donna, daughters, Tracy Naylor (Greg) of San Angelo, TX, Tara Nielsen Risenhoover (Michael) of Norman, OK, Rebecca Leonard (Shanon) of Lucas, TX; sister, Candace Nielsen Winger of Colorado Spring, CO; grandchildren, Tanner Nielsen of Duluth, GA, Blake Naylor and Payton Naylor both of Dallas, TX, and Ryan Leonard of Lucas, TX. He is also survived by many other family and friends.
