Harriet Alice Dedmon
After a seven year bout with cancer, Harriet Alice (Wilson) Dedmon has finally beat it. The cancer was still there, but she has moved on to be with her Lord & Savior in heaven, where sickness and suffering cannot reach her anymore.
Harriet (66) was born to Mary Lorene (Wells) and Robert David Wilson in West Liberty, Ky. A 1970 graduate of Morgan County High School, she also shortly attended Morehead State College in Morehead, Ky. In her formative years, she was brought up in the West Liberty Baptist Church, having a perfect attendance record as well as playing the church piano. In recent years she had found a comforting, loving church family at Goodrich Memorial United Methodist Church of Norman, OK.
Throughout her adult life, Harriet had worked in several administrative assistant positions, lastly for several years at Oklahoma University.
Harriet had a love of quilting, cooking & baking, Christmas decorating, and movies. Her greatest joy in life was all things to do with her grandson, Kamron.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Kenneth Leon Dedmon of the home, her daughter Susan Watson of Moore, OK, her son Kenneth Doyle Dedmon of Norman, OK, her sister Julia Price of Lexington, KY, her grandson Kamron Watson of Moore, OK, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, wonderful friends and others.
Harriet was preceded in death by her mother and father, brother Kenneth May, sister Mary Edith Wilson, and brother Nathan Wilson.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Goodrich Memorial United Methodist Church, Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
Flowers and donations should be made to the Goodrich Memorial United Methodist Church.

To Kenneth and family, my condolences. Thanks for sharing Harriet with her MCHS Class of 1970 classmates for our occasional lunches when she could get back to Kentucky. We enjoyed her presence so much. She will be missed.
