Geneva Winona Taylor Obituary
Moore - Geneva Winona Taylor, age 72, of Moore, Oklahoma, returned to her Heavenly Home surrounded by peace and comfort in her home. She passed courageously and faithfully, ready and excited to join her Heavenly Father. Her strong belief in God and Jesus Christ gave her comfort and serenity in her final moments. Geneva was born on March 9, 1954 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Julian and Edwardene Watts.
Geneva was welcomed into Heaven and reunited with her parents, Julian and Edwardene Watts; her brother, Dewayne Watts; her son, Brian Benson; and many other beloved family members who preceded her in death.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her son, Darren Benson and his wife Jennifer Benson, along with their sons Eric and Nathan Benson; her daughter, Amy Thiessen and her husband Brad Thiessen, along with their daughters Tylor and Morgan Thiessen; and her granddaughter Alicia Sherrill, daughter of her late son Brian Benson, and her husband Charles Andrew Sherrill. She is also survived by her brother, Ralph Watts and his wife Laura Watts, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Geneva loved worship music and loved the Lord with all her heart. She treasured her family deeply and especially enjoyed spending time talking with loved ones on the phone each day, particularly her beloved aunt, Arnell Tate. She enjoyed cooking, watching Court TV, and listening to Christian music.
She lived as a beautiful example of what it means to find Christ and live a Christ centered life. Her love for Jesus and for her family was evident in everything she did. Geneva was also a small business owner who truly loved serving others. She had a giving spirit and found joy in caring for people through her many business ventures and accomplishments.
A Celebration of Life for Geneva Winona Taylor will be announced at a later date so family and friends may gather to honor her memory and share stories together.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the youth program at Victory Life Church. Supporting young people in learning the Word of God became one of Geneva's greatest passions, and any donations made in her honor would be deeply appreciated. Arrangements are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home, Norman, Oklahoma. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.havenbrookfuneralhome.com
