Norman, oklahoma - Gary linn lambert, 79 years old, was a long time resident of Norman Oklahoma. He passed away on April 23 2025 in his home.
Gary was cared for in his last two years by his wife Wendy Gaunce and his three children Terry Lambert, Tammie Lambert and Leslie Lambert., All of Norman.
He is survived by his sister Norma Ruth Winegeart of Houma, Louisiana, and his brother Jerry D Lambert of Overland Park, Kansas.
Gary graduated from Norman high school and was a student of the University of Oklahoma. Gary played in a band in Norman and then in Germany and played keyboard.
After his education, Gary joined the Air Force service and was eventually stationed in Germany and Scott Air Force base in Belleville Illinois.
Gary married Patricia Broudy during which time there 3 children were born. After their marriage ended, he met Wendy Gaunce of Norman.
Gary was a long term communications technician at AT&T until his retirement.
Gary was baptized and becam a member of Norman First Church of the Nazarene in 1952. His passions were music and OU football. He played racquetball and enjoyed many friends who also played.
Graveside services will be held at IOOF cemetery Wednesday May 7 at 1100 at the gravesite of his parents Brad and Helen (Scott)Lambert.
Presiding will be Rev. Nathan Jenkins pastor of First Church of the Nazarene and Gary's brother Rev. Jerry D Lambert.
