Norman, OK - Francis (Frank) Jacob Kaderabek died on February 15, 2026, at the age of 91. Mr. Kaderabek was born on June 3, 1934, to Frank W. Kaderabek and Cecilia Koeppel Kaderabek. Francis was raised on a small dairy farm several miles West of the City of Manitowoc, Wisconsin and went to grade school and high school in Manitowoc. He attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering and received a BSEE with a major in Electronics and a minor in Power. This led to employment at a Division of General Motors Corporation where he became a Field Engineer on bombing systems, missile guidance systems, and the guidance system of the Apollo and Lunar Landing Capsule. All who worked on the guidance system were allowed to sign a scroll which was rolled and placed in a small capsule and given to one of the astronauts to be planted on the moon.
After leaving General Motors Corp. in 1969, Francis and his family moved from Milwaukee to Oklahoma City where he opened an office to assist small companies who wanted to do business with Tinker Air Force Base near Midwest City, Oklahoma. From 1969 to 1995, he assisted in the sale of over a billion dollars worth of goods and services to the Air Force. He also started several electronic companies and was instrumental in the development of an electronic monitoring system for oil well drilling rigs and the advancement of the check sorting world by way of modern electronic application to the processing of checks and associated electronic payment transfer technology.
After retiring from the business world, he joined the board of Habitat for Humanity in Norman, OK and became the Construction Manager, where he managed the construction of 20 houses in the Norman and Moore area. He also enjoyed helping the elderly who were not able to help themselves keep up the maintenance of their homes. Francis was a long-time member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Norman and was a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1961.
Francis married Marge Becker in 1956, and they were blessed with a marriage that lasted over 67 years. He is survived by his five children, son Kevin and daughters, Kim Ryan (Ron), Lynn Bachman, Jody Coffey (Mike), and Darcie Thomas (Randy). Along with several grandchild and great children.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marge, two brothers, Leonard and Paul and one sister, Myrtle.
A Christian Burial Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church located at 211 North Porter on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Catholic Charities or Habitat for Humanity or to any charity of your choice.
