Everett Alden Wurst (Everett)
November 9, 1943 - January 5, 2026
Everett Alden Wurst, 82, was born 11/9/1943 in Wichita, Kansas. He passed away 1/5/2026 in Norman, OK. In Wichita he attended North High School. In Norman he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma.
He was a devoted O. U. fan & loved to go to the games, especially the OU-Texas games.
He loved going on cruises & road trips. Geannie would say "lets go!" & he'd say "I'm ready". !
Everett was high maintenance. Every day he ate from: Wendy's - 1 Chocolate Frosty; Chick Filet-5 grilled chicken nuggets+1 mac/cheese; & Braums-1 large sack small pellet ice.
His 1st "real job" was in Wichita working for an airlines. He was good at numbers & a quick learner. He drew plans for building airplanes.
Later he worked in OKC for a construction company where he drew plans for hospitals.
After he met Geannie in 1984, he quit the construction company & gave up his company car. He said he needed to lighten the stress in his life & went to real estate school. Said he wanted to be a landlord. Ha! Well, that did "not" help his stress!
In 1986 in Norman, he was a licensed real estate broker. He liked people & loved real estate management. He & (his girlfriend then, Geannie) owned & operated SPM Realty, Inc. for 25 years.
On Sept 19, 2003, Everett finally said yes & married her.
Everett is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Wood Wurst & Florence Marie Wurst; and his sister Merldine Frances Hauf.
He is survived by his wife Geannie Scott Wurst, & step-son Jeremy Scott.
A memorial service will be held at Primrose Funeral Service, located at 3901 N Flood Ave., Norman, OK, 73069, United States. The service is scheduled for January 13, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
