Ellen Marie (Hartman) Jones passed away on January 3, 2021 surrounded by her children. Ellen was born March 21, 1933 in the house on the Hartman Family farm east of Noble, OK. Ellen was the sixth of seven children born to Frank Phillip and Estes (Meltabarger) Hartman. She attended Rocky Point Grade School and graduated from Noble High School in 1951.

Ellen moved to Norman, OK following high school and worked for a time at TG&Y stores before marrying Frank L. Jones in 1953. Through the years, Ellen raised 4 children and was active in the National Letter Carriers Union and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), holding state offices in both. In her later life, Ellen was employed by the University of Oklahoma from which she was retired and then as a custodian for UNICCO where she was placed at the OG&E plant in Norman until her final retirement in the mid 2000's.

Ellen is survived by four children, Amon Jones of Norman, OK Judith Rutherford of Oklahoma City, OK Stan Jones and wife Kristie of Norman, OK and Terri Jones of Oklahoma City, OK. Ellen is also survived by two granddaughters, June Galleciez of Seminole, OK and Cori Digby and husband Jacob of Norman, OK. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Courtney Galleciez, Bailey Galleciez, Emma Digby and Jameson Digby and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends whom she had made over her lifetime.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Phillip and Estes (Meltabarger) Hartman, her three brothers; Roy Hartman, Louis Hartman and Earl Hartman and her three sisters; Ruby Jennings, Irene Wiseman and Joyce Teel and a grandson Stanley Jones Jr.
