Norman, OK - DOUGLAS EUGENE WILSON JR.

August 3, 1983 - July 2, 2026

Douglas Wilson Jr., beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 42, following an unexpected heart attack. Born in Norman, Oklahoma, on August 3, 1983 Douglas was the cherished son of Douglas Sr. and Dorothy Wilson.

Doug graduated from Norman High School in 2002. Earning a football scholarship, he continued his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work.

Doug's warm smile and genuine nature meant he never met a stranger. He had a compassionate and generous spirit and was always willing to help those in need. He cherished time spent with his loved ones and his passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is survived by his loving mother, Dorothy; his brother, Rodney Sanders and wife, Megan Sanders; his nieces and nephews, Alexis, Sophi, Addox, Hendrex, and Ivy Sanders; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Doug was predeceased by his father, Douglas; his grandmothers, Lottie Mae Sanders and Mildred Brooks; his uncles, Roy Lee, Freddy, James, and Harry Sanders; and his cousins, Harrique, Michael, and Janice Sanders

A service to honor and celebrate Doug's life will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, 1:30 p.m. at Alameda Baptist Church, 1503 E. Alameda St. Norman, OK. Family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Doug are invited to gather in remembrance.
