Norman, Oklahoma - Dorothy Faye Evans 91, went to meet Jesus on Thursday, May 16. 2024. Dorothy was born on December 3, 1932 to William and Maye Kirby in Lexington, OK. She grew up in Noble, OK with

her only brother Billy. There she discovered her love of sports, especially basketball.

Dorothy had one true love, Jack H. Evans. It was love at first sight when she saw him in his Army uniform. She said, "I fell in love with Jack when I met him in his wacky khaki uniform." They had four children, Kenny, Ronnie, Jackie and Terry. Her husband passed away 6 months ago after caring for her the past few years. Her last and only wish was to be with Jack. She never recovered from her broken heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Maye Kirby, her brother, Billy Kirby, her husband, Jack of 72 years and her sons, Kenny and Ronnie Evans.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Jackie O'Rorke and husband Randy. Terry Bamberg, devoted niece Donna Howard, devoted grand nephew Sam Linge and wife Kim, daughter-in-law, Deanna Evans; grandchildren, Shawn Evans, Kendra Evans, Farra O'Rorke, Kristin Wright and husband Aaron, Austin O'Rorke and wife Brittany, Terra LaRock, Shae Mayan and husband Eric, and Christian Couch; great grandchildren, Braydon Evans and wife Kenzie, Gavin Evans and Elizabeth Saner, Brittani

Welch and husband Matt, Brionah O'Neal, Bryce Wright, Alexys Wright, Bentley and Asher O'Rorke, Winter and Lennon LaRock; great great grandchildren, Cohen Evans and River Welch.

Family and friends of Dorothy will miss her wit, feistiness, stories, hugs, smiles and those beautiful sky-blue eyes.
