Norman, OK - Donald Lee Frick, 55, of Noble, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Don was a gifted architect, devoted husband, loving father, and proud "Poppy." He was born in Salina, Kansas, on May 4, 1970. He graduated from Moore High School in 1988 and went on to earn a degree in Architecture from the University of Oklahoma in 1997.
Blessed with an exceptional eye for design and a heart for people, Don led Pinnacle Design Group, a multifaceted architectural design firm. Through his work, he built not only remarkable structures but also enduring relationships, cherished memories, and a legacy of care. Whether working late into the night or mentoring others in his field, Don approached every endeavor with passion, integrity, and purpose.
Don was married for 31 years to his best friend and the love of his life, Carrie (Harwick) Frick. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, creativity, and unwavering support. Known for his generosity, sharp wit, loving heart, and a healthy dose of stubbornness, Don left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Carrie; their children, Morgan and Kale; his father, Norman; and his brother, Ron. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Martha.
To Don, family was never defined by blood alone, but by unconditional love, shared experiences, and lifelong bonds. His chosen family included his best friend and longtime business partner, Jeff Maack, who was a brother in every way that mattered, along with Jeff's family—Dawn, Addie, and Karsten. He also deeply cherished Sara and Nick Bridgeford, who blessed him with his first granddaughter, Allysn; his future daughter-in-law, Mali McLennan; and Maribeth and Keith Wingfield, who gave him his second beautiful granddaughter, Everleigh.
Don's legacy will live on through his family, friends, colleagues, and the many lives he touched with his kindness, creativity, and unwavering love.
A Celebration of Life honoring Don will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Tribute Memorial Care in Norman, Oklahoma. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life lived with passion, purpose, and deep love for others.
