Norman, OK - Colleen Ann Christ Hickman

Colleen Ann Christ Hickman, age 64, of Norman, OK, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, in Houston, TX. She was born in Beatrice, NE, to parents Keith and Clarice (Flower) Christ.

Colleen graduated in 1979 from Choctaw High School before pursuing a career as a federal employee. In her 30 years, she worked for numerous agencies, most recently the National Severe Storms Laboratory.

A Cancer Warrior, Colleen battled a rare blood cancer. Eventually, she became "transfusion dependent," needing blood transfusions at least once a week. Colleen's final gesture was to donate her remains to further medicine's understanding of the disease.

Colleen is survived by her son, Kerry Hickman of Phoenix, AZ; daughter Stephanie Hickman Sawyer and husband Cameron, with grandson Jamison of Hamburg, Germany; mother, Clarice Christ of Norman; sister Belinda Christ of Moore; aunt Doris Riepenkroger and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial for Colleen will be held at the Noble Library Community Room, located at 204 N. 5th Street in Noble on Monday, May 18 from 1:30 to 3:30. Donations may be made to MD Anderson or to Blood Cancer United. Or donate a unit of blood to your local blood bank. Local blood banks often struggle to meet their daily needs. Please help them out.
