Charlotte Smith (Gynonne) Obituary

Norman, Oklahoma - Charlotte "Gynonne" Smith, age 90, of Norman, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Her strong belief in God and Jesus Christ gave her and her family comfort in her final moments. Gynonne was born March 29, 1936 in Oklahoma City to Charlie and Ann Miller. Gynonne was a homemaker, a job she absolutely loved. When her children were older, she worked as a real estate agent for the Dillard Real Estate Group. She was known affectionately by her grandchildren and

great-grandchildren as Nannie. Gynonne lived a beautiful example of what it means to find Christ and live a Christ centered life. Her love for Jesus and her family was evident in everything she did. She treasured her family and the times she got to

spend with them. Some of her favorite times were taking trips and vacations with different members of her family. Gynonne was an enthusiastic fan of the Oklahoma City Thunder and all sports played by

the University of Oklahoma. She had season tickets to OU home football games for over forty years. She went to many OU softball games, even before they became so dominate. Gynonne was welcomed into Heaven and reunited with her husband of 68 years, Jack Smith, her parents Charlie Miller and Ann Stovall and her grandson Grayson Smith. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her four children, Jackie Smith of Oklahoma City, Patrick Smith and wife Kathy of Norman, Christopher Smith and fiancé Kim Woford of Oklahoma City, Staci Sheldon and husband Nathan of Norman; grandchildren, Austin Smith and wife Darian, Caroline Hatfield and husband Tyler, Sarah Baker and husband Brandon, Steven Sheldon and fiancé Pam Grigsby, Jaigi Middleton, Arsei Mitchell and husband Dalton; her sister Cheryl Love; nieces Pris Gilberto, and husband Paul, Katie Wheat and husband Taylor; nephew Justin Love; and eight great grandchildren with two more due later this year.

Funeral services will be held on Friday June 12th at 2:00 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home in Oklahoma City.
