Barbara Ann Baker Obituary
Noble, OK. - With heavy hearts, our beloved mother Barbara Ann Baker of Noble, Oklahoma left us on August 18, 2025 at the age of 89 in Norman, Oklahoma. She was a devoted mother to Tonya Morrissey (Ty), Tawana Ruder (Tom), and Tina Scott (Larry) and grandmother to Derek Radford (Shelby), Dustin Hall (Heather), Tyler Frueh-Morrissey (Ryan), Anthony Lyle (Addy), Trevor Morrissey (Lizzie), Nicole Corley (Bennett), Becky Taylor (Cody), and Matt Ruder (Krystal). She was married to the late William (Bill) Page Baker for 53 years. She lived life to her fullest and loved her family with all of her heart.
She is survived by her dear sister Denna Lee Coates and her children and grandchildren mentioned above and great grandchildren Madison (Dustin & Heather), Ruby (Becky & Cody), and Grace and Faith (Matt & Krystal). She was pre-deceased by her precious husband Bill, her parents Lillian Mary and George Robert Simmons, and her brother Eugene (Gene) Simmons.
Mom was known for her sense of humor, infectious spirit, laughter, and her love of quilting. She was a very gifted quiltmaker and provided her loved ones with intricate and beautiful creations to commemorate life events. She found so much joy in and loved her Patches quilting group of friends who were always there for her as she was for them.
Momma / Mom / Grandma / Mimi, you were always there for us with prayers, thoughts, and advice and when life got rough. You were our comfort when we needed it. You were a huge source of love and support for all of your family. We will always cherish the beautiful memories we shared and you will be forever remembered and forever in our hearts. Your unconditional love, kindness, and compassion will always live on through your family and friends.
We will miss you immensely.
A celebration of our mother's life and memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Norman Quilters Guild for their Community Quilts. Checks need to be made out to:
