Adam Bowden Obituary

El Campo, Texas - Adam Bowden, 38, of El Campo, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on September 11, 1987, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Richard and Jackie Bowden.

Adam grew up in Norman and attended Norman Public Schools, where he was cherished by his friends and teachers alike. In 2012, Adam moved to El Campo, Texas, where he quickly built a circle of friends and became a beloved member of the community. He was happiest there, embraced by those who loved and supported him.

Adam was diagnosed with Angelman's Syndrome at a young age, but he never let that define him. Instead, he radiated a joy and light that touched everyone he encountered. His laughter was contagious, his smile unforgettable, and his presence a gift to all who knew him. Adam had a special way of reminding others to find beauty in the simple moments of life, and his legacy will live on in the countless hearts he brightened.

Adam is survived by his parents, Richard and Jackie Bowden; his brother Bryan Bowden and wife Michelle; and his treasured nieces, Drakelee and Hannah, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his grandfather, Don Drake, Sr., along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever carry his memory close.

A Celebration of Adam's Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Tribute Memorial Care, 4300 West Indian Hills Road in Norman, with a reception immediately following. A private family interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Adam's honor to Special Olympics Oklahoma, an organization that was dear to the families hearts.

Adam's life was a beautiful reminder that love, laughter, and kindness are the truest measures of a person's impact. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain a light to all who knew him.
