Stephen Williams was born April 7, 1942 in Norman, Oklahoma to Wayne W. and Willie Jo Williams. He attended Wilson elementary, Norman High School, and the University of Oklahoma graduating with a degree in electrical engineering. While at OU he became a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity.
After graduation, he was employed as an engineer with NASA in Houston, working in the Lunar Rover program. Upon leaving the space program, he was employed by Texas Instrument, Corporation in Richardson, Texas. He later moved back to Norman as an engineer with Westinghouse Corporation. Upon leaving Westinghouse, he became a career consulting engineer in Oklahoma City, Dallas, and Plano, Texas.
One of his greatest joys was being a member of the world recognized mens choral group, the Vocal Majority.
He is survived by a daughter, Angelica Williams of San Diego, California; a son, Stephen Williams of Plano, Texas; a special friend, Laura Kennedy, of McKinney, Texas. He is also survived by a brother, Gary W. Williams and nephew Mark K. Williams of Norman and a niece, Terri Anne Williams, Downers Grove, Illinois.
Funeral arrangements are being made through Restland Funeral Home, Dallas, Texas. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Riverside Church of Christ, Coppell, Texas.
