Mary Ethel Maltbie Winkler, age 77, passed away April 29, 2017 at Norman Regional Hospital. She was born in Rogers, Arkansas on June 20, 1939. Mary lived in Noble, Oklahoma for the last 19 years.
Mary married Oval Winkler in 1966. He had 5 children. Mary and Oval lived in Walsh, Colorado. She moved back to Oklahoma in 1985. At the time of her death, Mary had 8 grand-children and 32 great grand-children.
Mary graduated from Boise City, Oklahoma high School in May of 1958. Mary worked as nurse's aid from 16 years of age until 1970 when she became a Med-Aid and Home Care specialist. Mary worked for Loving Care of Oklahoma for 7 years until she retired. Mary loved working on her crafts also.
Mary is survived by her younger sisters Florine Ahrens of Noble, Jerrine Long of Denton Texas and Louise Nolan of Boise City. Numerous cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews, many great nieces and great nephews. Grandkids Vickie of Dallas, Texas, Barbara of Noble, David of Noble, and Lee of Arkansas.
Preceding her in death were her father Jerry Joshua M.I. Maltbie, her Mother Edna Mae Spradlin Maltbie, younger sister at birth Ruby Aarlene Maltbie, another younger sister Donnitta Jo Maltbie, both sets of grandparents and an older brother Clifford Lee Maltbie, and a step-son Robert Winkler.
Services will be held Saturday, May 20 at 1:30pm at McMahan's Funeral Home in Noble.
