Margaret Gill, age 91, of Norman, OK., went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2017. She was born October 18, 1925 in Newcastle, OK to Mae Ethel (Gunter) Smith and Charles Leslie Smith.
She attended school at Bridge Creek and Norman High School. She was an accountant at Norman Nash Company, G & R Supply Company, and the University of Oklahoma student loan department from which she retired in 1988. She enjoyed travel, fishing, and especially family.
She married Guy R. Fritch in 1942 and they enjoyed raising and loving their two children; Margaret Ann and Jim. Guy passed away in 1970 and in 1974 she married Howard B. Gill who passed away in 1998. She was a wonderful and loving mother and step-mother.
Margaret is survived by children, Margaret Ann Phillips- Jackson of Noble, OK., Jim and Sally Fritch of Broken Arrow, OK., stepdaughter Sharon Burnsworth of Norman, OK., John and Kristi Gill of Silt, CO.,grandchildren, Robert Phillips and wife Connie of Oklahoma City, OK., Lori Johnson and husband Bobby Keith of Blanchard, OK., Angela Cook and husband Jeff of Broken Arrow, OK., Brian Fritch and wofe Christine of Broken Arrow, OK., great-grandchildren, Shelby Bailey and husband Andrew, Katelyn Phillips, Kristy Johnson, Bradley Fritch, and Ashley Fritch and great-great grandson Beau Daniel Gise.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles L. Smith and Mae Ethel Watkins, spouses, Guy R. Fritch and Howard B. Gill, sister, Dayle Hunt, and brothers, Stanley Smith and Charles Smith, and granddaughter Jodi Burnsworth.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 10:30am Thursday, January 26th at Norman IOOF Cemetery.
