Ina "Nina"'s Story

Ina "Nina" St. John, 78, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
Graveside services will be at 11:00AM, Saturday, June 17, 2017 in the IOOF Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma with Dr. Wade Smith, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Norman, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta, Texas.
Ina was born on March 31, 1939 in Ozona, Texas to Clyde and Ruth Avena (Jenkins) McCaleb. She graduated from Clayton High School in 1957 and later that same year, she married Philip "Buz" St. John, in Amarillo, Texas. After Buz's retirement from a career in the Military, Ina pursued an unfinished dream of attending college. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Anthropology from the University of Oklahoma in 1997. Of her many accomplishments, Ina was probably most proud of creating and developing a senior theatrical troupe called the Second Stage Players. She was a member of SAG and involved with the Performing Arts Studio in Norman. She was an avid fan of the arts and enjoyed oil and watercolor paintings which were shown in several galleries.
Ina was preceded in death by her husband; three sisters, Kay, Vera and Mildred; two brothers, Ralph and Alvin McCaleb; granddaughter, Ashley Brown.
Survivors include three sons, Steve St. John and wife Angela of Wichita Falls, Texas, Stewart St. John of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Matthew St. John and wife Lori of Gastonia, North Carolina; one daughter, Kimberly Withers and husband Scot of Cheyenne, Wyoming; grandchildren, Mark Brown, Allison Gilbert, Ellen Dugger, Gracie Withers and Carolina Withers; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Keith McCaleb and wife Leatha of Tuscan, Arizona.
