Frank Thomas Crawley, III, 83, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in Washington, Oklahoma. He was born August 14, 1933 in Shawnee to Frank Thomas Crawley, Sr. and Jacqueline (Cowen) Crawley.
He attended school in Shawnee and graduated from the Oklahoma Military Academy where he was a Golden Glove Heavy Weight Boxer. He went on to attend Oklahoma State University on a football scholarship. Frank then joined the United States Army and served during the Korean War with the 82nd Airborne. After being honorably discharged, he came back to Shawnee and attended Oklahoma Baptist University and earned his Bachelor's in Accounting.
Throughout his life, he worked many different jobs including the oil field, construction, and he owned Bison Lumber in Shawnee, and Crawley Carpet and Tile in Norman. Frank loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and dogs.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Franklin Matthew Crawley; and brother, Jerry Crawley.
He is survived by his companion, Alice King; children, Rosalyn (Dan) West, Frank (Brenda) Quintin Crawley, IV, Georganne (Michael) Brown, Thomas (Margie) B. Crawley, Kevin Crawley, Megan (Mike) Thompson, and Chris (Carmen) Boyce; sister, Georgia (Henry) L. Oden; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held 2pm Monday, April 3, 2017 at Resthaven Funeral Home, Shawnee.
