Anna Carolyn Parsons Carroll was born February 12, 1928 in Okemah, Oklahoma and peacefully passed away Wednesday, January 04, 2017 at the age of 88.
Born and raised in Okemah, Carolyn Carroll met and married the love of her life, William "Bill" Carroll, on August 9, 1946 in Oklahoma City. They resided in Norman, Oklahoma for 30 years before returning to Okemah in 1986. Mrs. Carroll was a founding member of Assistance League in Norman, she was also active in the community as a long time member of PEO. She was a librarian for the Wewoka Public Schools and at the Okemah Public Library. As an elder in the Okemah First Christian Church, Mrs. Carroll actively participated in the programs and mission of the church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Carroll.
Survivors include her two sons, John E. Carroll and wife Suan of Norman, and Randolph Carroll and wife Darcy of Canfield, Ohio; and 6 grandchildren, Kristyn Boensch (Bradley), Justin Carroll (Nicole), and Tyler Carroll (Kristen) all of Norman, Trevor, Casey, and Spencer Carroll all of Canfield, Ohio. She has 5 great grandchildren Norah, Sydney , Colton , Gunner , and Marlea Carroll
The family will be accepting donations in memory of Mrs. Carroll to the Third Floor First Christian Church at PO Box 527, Okemah, OK 74859.
PRIVATE SERVICES WILL BE HELD FOR THE FAMILY AT A LATER DATE.
