Wilma Eleanora Sullivan Adams

Wilma Eleanora Sullivan Adams passed away peacefully on November 8, at the age of 79. Wilma was the youngest of 7 children born to Arie Thornhill Sullivan and William Sullivan, on August 3, 1939, in Florence, Arizona. As a young girl she moved to San Jose, California where she went to school and later met the love of her life and husband for 64 years, Joe Bob Adams. She always laughed and said Joe came to California from Arkansas for gold and that she was his gold nugget. They married on October 16, 1954 in Reno, Nevada. They had 4 children, Peggy, Timothy, Thomas, and Joseph. Wilma had many jobs throughout her life working for Noble Public Schools, JC Penny, Braums, San Jose Public Schools, and the University of Oklahoma. Her favorite job was being a grandma to her 8 grandchildren and their spouses and 11 great grandchildren. She was a social butterfly, loved to laugh, meet new people and she never met a stranger. She was a member of TOPS, KOPS, Oklahoma Home and Community Education of Cleveland County, Friendship Club for 18 years, Old Timers, and The First Baptist Church. She loved to paint, crochet, take her grandchildren to the Ice Capades and enter items she had made into the Cleveland County Free Fair. She won many ribbons over the years (too many to count) for her paintings, displays, and blankets.
Loved ones that cleared the path for her were her parents, Arie and William, her in-laws Ethel and Jesse Adams, 4 brothers, George, Lloyd, Lowell, and Fred Sullivan, 2 sisters, Lois Knox and Wynema Sullivan, brother-in-law, Lonnie Adams, 3 sister-in laws, Laura Adams, Muriel Sullivan, Frances Sullivan, and one son-in-law, Leonard Teel. Loved ones she left behind are her husband of the home, Joe, daughter, Peggy Teel, sons, Timothy Adams and wife Catherine, Thomas Adams, Joe Adams and wife Kim, grandchildren, Jeremy Penner, Clinton Teel and wife Leisha, Clayton Teel and wife Nikki, Jessica King and husband Shimeen, Amanda Shepard and husband Nick, Zachary, Jacob and Emma Adams, great grandchildren, Tatiana Bryant, Chase Bullock, Chutai King, Colton Penner, Gage Teel, Alora Teel, Blake Penner, Layna Teel, Kinley, Corban, and Deacon Shepard, brother-in laws, Vester and Raymond Adams, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
