William Everett McLain, 77, passed away on October 14, 2017. He was born in Norman, Oklahoma, on August 14, 1940. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juanita Buchanan Schramm and William Everett McLain, and brother, Frederick D. McLain.
He attended Norman High School and was a sergeant in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division. He worked for Alcoa in Warrick County, Indiana, and retired in 1994 after 28 years of service. He was past Master of Constellation Lodge 748 and was a member of the Scottish Rite and the Hadi Shrine in Evansville, Indiana.
He is survived by his daughters, Deborah McLain Nolan of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Becky McLain of Newburgh, Indiana; four grandchildren, Jacob, Emily, and Alex Swanson, also of Newburgh, and Grace Nolan of Indianapolis; one sister, Virginia Simmons, of Parker, Colorado; brother, Billy Gene McLain of Flint, Michigan; and multiple nieces and nephews.
