WAYNE HENRY TADLOCK
Loved ones watched beside him with sorrowing hearts but his brain tumor could not be arrested. Wayne Henry Tadlock of Noble died on August 31, 2019. Wayne was born on 4 July 1949 in Onaga, Kansas, the son of J.B. & Jeanette Kolterman Tadlock. He was the 5th generation to live on the Kolterman family farm. His great great grandparents were founding members of the Onaga farming community and charter members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School now 144 years old in Duluth, Kansas. Wayne was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. The family moved to Norman in 1962. While in grade school he was involved in track & baseball, in High School he belonged to the FFA , and he was a wrestler. After graduating from Norman High School in 1968 he proudly joined the Army where he served in Turkey. He was honorable discharged after serving three years.
In 1971 he started his working career as a union laborer for various commercial compa- nies, after several years he became a heavy equipment operator running hydraulic cranes, truck cranes, back hoes, dozers and Bobcats. Frequently working with his brothers Jerry and Jay Tadlock they called him an excellent dirt artist. After retirement he drove a school bus for the Norman Public Schools for 5 years.
In his personal pastime he loved boating, hunting and fishing with his family. Over the years Wayne and his brothers had great noodling (hand fishing) adventures catching many large catfish including a pair of 42 pounders. Another pastime was vegetable gardening. He was known as an easy going, good person with a big heart, loved by his family, and main- tained life long friends.
He is survived by his wife Vivian Harper Tadlock, her children Jeffrey Blake Milvo & wife Rose, Allyson Marie Milvo & her children Christopher Milvo, Isaiah Milvo, Morgan Milvo and Vyktoria; one sister, Janice Tadlock Papandrea and husband John Papandrea of Fort Myers, Florida, two brothers, Jerry Tadlock and his wife Julie of Oklahoma City, OK, and Jay Don Tadlock and his wife Jill of Norman, and 33 nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents J. B. Tadlock and Jeanette Kolterman Tadlock. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Jay's house on September 8, 2019 at 1:00 with a luncheon to follow.
