Shirley's Story

Shirley Rae Phillips was called to her heavenly home on April 15, 2017, after a long courageous battle with COPD. She was born on November 22, 1940, to William and Dixie L. Phillips in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Shirley always loved being with her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time in the back yard around her swimming pool and a little later in life discovered a fondness for the ocean cruises as well as having fun on the slot machines. She attended Rose State College. She worked as a beautician for 10 years in Norman before going to work for the State of Oklahoma retiring in 1997. She married Earl Dee Harmon on December 15, 1957, and they remained together for 59 years until her passing. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by; her daughter, Toni Kay Harmon; her parents; and one sister, Bettie
She left to lovingly cherish her memory are her husband, Dee Harmon of Norman; two daughters, Kimberly (Harmon) White and husband John, and Sherry (Cecil) Mosley and husband Rick; five granddaughters, Taylor (White) Nickell and husband Ryan, Tanner White and fiancé Teak Hull, Trace White, Julie (Leeper) Aultz, Tiffany (Murphy) Dollins; and two great grandchildren.
It was Shirley's wish to be cremated and private family services to be held at a later date.
