Phyllis Ann Johnson, 66, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away April 25, 2019. She was born August 2, 1952 to Carl and Tillie Sossamon in Groom, Texas.

The Sossamon family Bluegrass Gospel singing group was a very tight net family. They were always going to churches and on the road touring in many states. She knew over 350 songs and loved traveling, going on cruizes and bowling. She liked eating out at Texas Road House, Teds and The Shack. She also liked listening to Dailey & Vincent country music. Phyllis loved to talk and be with family.

Phyllis is survived by her son, John Johnson, Jr; grandchildren, Izick, Johnny, Tre, Taylor; father, Carl Sossamon; two brothers, Ricky and Randy Sossamon (son Bradley); five aunts, Diana Boyd (Billy), Carolyn Boydston (Doyle), Ruth Barnard (Ted), Deanie Boyd; uncle, Larry Wyatt (Debbie) Laura Phillips (Don) and many other Loving family members.

She is preceded in death by; aunt, Wanda Downs; mother, Tillie Evelyn Sossamon.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, April 29, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Park Chapel, Norman, OK. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Norman, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.

We had the privilege of meeting this wonderful lady. We got to sing and play music with her and her brother Ricky a few months ago. You will be missed.....but the heavens will be filled with in peace Phyllis
