Patrick ("Pat") Arnold Spaulding, 85, passed away May 13, 2019. Pat was born February 17, 1934 in Norman, OK to Aaron Jefferson Spaulding and Nancy Leatha (McWhorter) Spaulding. He was the third of seven children. After working at Gilt Edge Dairy (Norman) and Safeway Milk Department (OKC), Pat opened up Spaulding Auto Salvage in 1959, which continues operations to this day. In 1989, he kicked off A-Deal Salvage and ran it until retirement in 2008. Pat married Rachel Genevie Breedlove on January 16, 1954. They just recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Pat and Rachel attended Meeks Chapel (OKC) for 40 years and then spent the next 30 years at Norman Tabernacle/Harvest Church. Pat is survived by his wife, Rachel; children David Spaulding and wife Mary and Gloria Brannon and husband Anderson; grandchildren David Spaulding and wife Eve, April Rogers and Edwin Acuna, Matt Spaulding, Joel Rogers and wife Crystal, and Jacinta Rogers and fiancé Adam Long; great grandchildren Austin Rogers, Bella, Sophia, Melania and Deklan Spaulding, and Emma Long; brothers Monroe ("Ben") Spaulding and wife Susie and Don Spaulding. Services will be held Friday, May 17th at Quest Church at 6450 36th Avenue NW, Norman OK 73072 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Schwartz Cemetery (SE 89th and Anderson Road, OKC). Visitation will be at John Ireland Funeral Home Thursday, May 16th from 6 pm - 8 pm.

I was sorry to hear of pats passing. He was a very nice person. I didn't live near him to know him well but what I did know he was a fine man. I send my condolences to rachael and his family. I am a cousin on his mothers side.
