Nancy's Story

Nancy C. Oliphant age 77 of Pauls Valley, formerly of Norman, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at her home. She was born September 28, 1939 in Oklahoma City, the only child of Jack Baer and Jane (Dudley) Baer. Nancy grew up in Norman and graduated from Norman High School with the class of 1957. One year later she married her high school sweet heart, L. Dee Oliphant and together they raised one daughter, Melissa. Nancy lived in the Norman area for nearly 50 years before she and Dee moved to Pauls Valley in 1998. She worked for 30 years for the University of Oklahoma in the Bursars office. After she retired she remained an avid O. U. Football Fan and loved to collect O.U. memorabilia. Nancy loved animals and her hobby was adopting rescue pets, mainly dogs and cats. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a special friend her many co-workers.
She was preceded in death by: Grandmother, Nannie Dudley; Parents, Jack and Jane Baer; She is survived by: Husband, Dee Oliphant of the home; Daughter, Melissa Boyd and husband Ronnie of Norman, Granddaughter, Lisa Lewis and husband Jon of Norman;
No funeral services are scheduled. The family request that you make memorial donations to the American Diabetes Assoc. in her memory, or Adopt and pet. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
