She had many friends at Wal Mart, both among co-workers and the customers she befriended.

Monica loved the San Diego Chargers and always rooted for her home team. San Diego and the places she spent time as a child were always close to her heart. But most of all Monica loved her family. She was a devoted wife and mother and anyone who met Monica became her instant friend. She had a wonderful memory for faces and she used this special talent to strike up conversations and make people feel good. Monica will be best remembered for her ever-present smile. Monica's extended Cerda family in California loved her very much and will miss her greatly.
