Melba Jordan, age 75 of Norman, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017. Melba Jeanne Jordan was born July 30, 1941 in Victoria, Texas, the only child of Dewey H. and Grace Jo (Hobbs) Jordan. She was raised in Oklahoma and attended school there, graduating from Tulsa Edison High School. Melba then attended Oklahoma State University where she earned a Bachelor's in Fashion Merchandising. While in school there, she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She began working for the Sears in the Dallas area. Melba moved to Norman in February of 1981 and has called it home since. She retired from Sears as a Manager after years of dedicated service. She later worked for the YMCA, retiring as CEO. Melba stayed active in her community and was involved in many Civics and Social Clubs. She was a proud member of the Altrusa Club of Norman, the Norman Rotary Club and served on the Board of Directors of the NAIC. When not working, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and volunteering at the Oklahoma City Civic Center. She was a wonderful woman with a heart for people and a good friend to many. She will be dearly missed!

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at the Haven of Memories Memorial Park Cemetery in Canton, TX. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell. Send online condolences @ wilsonlittle.com.
