Margaret "Maggie"'s Story
Margaret "Maggie" Louise Sugg of Noble, OK passed peacefully from this life on April 2, 2017 surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. She was born on January 26, 1947 in Chickasha, OK to Alfred Ray Dean and Joletta (Troup) Dean. They resided in Norman, OK where Margaret attended Norman Public School and graduated beauty school.
In 1962, Margaret married Calvin "Coy" Sugg. From this union her two beautiful and much loved boys, Tony and Wes, were born. She worked as a hair stylist for a while before going to work at NBC Bank in Norman. There she worked as an executive assistant and flourished in the banking business.
The next chapter of her life was spent with the love of her life, Phil Boeskin. Margaret then decided to go into business for herself, so she and her friend, Christie Clayborn, opened the Oasis Salon and Spa. Another location, the Oasis Too Salon and Spa, opened later.
Margaret enjoyed going on trips with her girlfriends and spending time at Lake Texoma with Phil and their friends, Sharon and Darrell. She also loved traveling to Palm Springs, CA to visit her son and daughter-in-law, Wes and Angela, and granddaughter, Mia.
As her health declined, Margaret realized that she needed other activities to keep her busy, so she turned one bedroom into an arts and crafts studio. There she crocheted many beautiful pieces and made some very special wreaths.
What we will remember most about Margaret is how unselfish and giving she was.
When her Uncle Les was coming to the end of his life, she took him into her home and cared for him until it was his time to pass. Her ultimate gift was the donation of her remains to the United Tissue Network. Her eyes are now giving sight to someone who could not see.
She is survived by Phil Boeskin of the home; two sons, Tony Sugg and wife Judith of Norman and Wes Sugg and wife Angela of Palm Springs, CA, "adopted" daughter Emily Keuhn of Bethany, OK; grandchildren, Jacki Sugg of Zionsville, Indiana, Gordon Sugg and wife Caitlin of Norman, Abi Sugg and wife Alejandra of Virginia, Mia Sugg of Palm Springs, CA, and Colten Kuehn of Bethany, OK; sister Jane Kabara and husband Andrew of Norman, brother Carl Dean and wife Brenda of Norman; a niece and three nephews; many great nieces and nephews; and her little poodle, Toby.
Margaret has been the matriarch of our family for many years and we loved her dearly.
Memorial Services will be held at 10AM Saturday, December 23rd at the Norman Train Depot 200 S. Jones Ave. The family invites you to join them at the Memorial.
