Lynn's Story

Lynn Patricia Hatch was born in Boise, Idaho to William and Pauline Hatch on November 14, 1961. Being in a military family, she moved around her whole childhood including Nebraska, Texas, England, California, Alabama, Guam, New York and finally settling in Altus, Oklahoma in 1979. She attended USAO and graduated in 1986 with a degree in Deaf Education. She started her teaching career in El Paso, TX, then moved to Hollis, OK ending up at Eisenhower Elementary School in Norman where she taught from 1992-2017.
Lynn was a beloved sister, aunt, friend and teacher to many. She loved her kids above all else. Her nieces and nephews all held a very special place in her heart. Her students meant the world to her. She especially enjoyed attending The Special Olympics in Stillwater, OK each year with her student athletes. Lynn enjoyed watching Wimbledon every year, and even had the opportunity to go tour Wimbledon, in England, in 2001. She loved reading, and was a Trivial Pursuit and SORRY champion amongst her family members. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Eisenhower PTA.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents and Grandparents. She was survived by her brothers: Lance Hatch and wife, Karen and Perry Hatch and wife, Mary; sisters, Tracey Brown and husband, John and Erin Jewell and husband, John; Nephews: Paul, Jorian and Jack; Nieces, Kayla, Caitlin, Brittany, Alex, Hannah and Sophia and Grand Nephew, Kashton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017, 10:00 am at St. Thomas More University Parish, 100 E. Stinson St., Norman, OK.
