Kyle Ray Leisher passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Kyle was born in Wichita, Kansas, on October 27, 1957 to Luin and Shirley Leisher. He graduated from Redmond High School in Washington in 1975. Kyle attended the University of Oklahoma. He walked onto the OU Baseball team as a pitcher and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. In 1980, he entered the OU College of Dentistry, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1984. Kyle started his dental practice in Norman, OK and practiced for 33 years.
For several years, Kyle enjoyed volunteering at the J.D. McCarty Center and Health for Friends. He coached numerous little league sports games for his children. He was a talented golfer and loved being on the golf course with his golf buddies. Kyle's greatest joy was the time he spent with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, beloved for his gentle nature and sense of humor. He could always be counted on to help anyone and could often be found enjoying a good book or conversation on his patio.
Kyle is survived by his wife of 37 years, Julie; son, Chris; daughter, Shannon; daughter-in-law, Angie; granddaughter, Julianne Grace; brother, Ken; and parents, Luin and Shirley. A private service was held for immediate family. A reception to celebrate Kyle's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the J.D. McCarty Center or McFarlin Memorial UMC Food Pantry.
