Keith "Pat"'s Story
Pat was born August 2, 1919 in Chaney, Oklahoma, to Byron E. "Barney" Horner and Vernila VanFleet Horner. He peacefully passed away at his home in Norman, Oklahoma on Monday, July 9, 2018 at the age of 98 years. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wilda Haden Horner, his son William T. "Billy" Horner, his brother Kenneth Horner of Norman, Ok, and his sister Vivian Marty of Riverton, Wyoming. Pat was a very proud veteran and served with the 87th Acorn Infantry Division in World War II. Pat ran a bulldozer for most of his life. As a bulldozer operator he worked in the oilfield, built highline towers across central Oklahoma and helped with the building of Lake Thunderbird. He is survived by his son, Robert "Bob" Horner and his wife Angela, his daughter Trisha Dudley and her husband Jim, his daughter Sue Kuder and her husband Dennis all of Norman, OK, his daughter Jeannie Fortney and her husband Gene of Austin, Texas, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
