Jo Ruth Hardin, age 88, of Abilene, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Silver Springs Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was born February 14, 1928 in Stith, Texas to John Wesley and Ola Allene (Pope) Stroud. She was the Salutatorian of her graduating class at Noodle Dome High School in Noodle, Texas. She loved basketball, horses, music and her little dog, Toby. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Moore, OK. Jo Ruth was loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her five children, Jamie Lynn Weideman and husband Jerry, Cynthia Jo Franklin and husband Roy, Clifford Greg Reeves and Jeannie, Felix Stanley Hardin, II and Richard Dale Hardin; niece Kay Dalton and great niece, Becky Dalton both of whom she dearly loved; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Felix Stanley Hardin I.
Graveside service and interment will be 11AM Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Shiloh Cemetery.
