Jane Louise Lilly, 80, of Norman passed away on July 20, 2017. She was born in Denison, Iowa on May 13, 1937 to Mabel Arlene and Glen Harold Millard. She attended Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa where she met her future husband, John Stanley Lilly. They were married on June 15, 1957 and enjoyed 57 wonderful years of marriage until Johns death in 2015. Jane graduated in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Simpson College.

The Lilly family moved to Norman in 1967. A lifelong learner and reader, Jane returned to college and received a Masters of Science degree in Library Science from the University of Oklahoma. She became involved with the Pioneer Library System, first as a Friends of the Library volunteer and then as an employee at the Norman and Moore Public Libraries. She served as a Member of Norman Public Librarys Board of Trustees. She retired as Moore Librarys Branch Manager in 1998.

Jane was a member of McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church where she attended the New Beginnings Sunday School Class. She was an avid traveler, a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel Arlene and Glen Harold Millard, and her husband, John Stanley Lilly. She is survived by her loving children, Cara Lilly Belcher and husband Steve of Manhattan Beach, California, and Dana Scott Lilly and wife Amy of Indianapolis, Indiana; her brother, Paul Richard Millard and wife Jo of Fair Oaks, California; and her four devoted grandchildren, James Evan Belcher, Jackson Reed Belcher, Jordan Rae Lilly and Tanner Scott Lilly. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 28, at 11 am at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Norman. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pioneer Library System Foundation, 300 Norman Center Court, Norman, Oklahoma 73072.
